APOSTLES DOCTRINE(WORD)

  • THROUGH THE BIBLE READING
  • Do you have any thoughts questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?

  • APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES:
  • (Vs 1-5) – In what ways can or can you not relate to this “man” who was once someone’s baby boy in your life pre-following (encountering Christ) as Savior and Lord?

  • Take a look at and review the Scriptures about our life without Christ as Satan’s influence. Have you ever though about the fact that you were once Satan’s slave?  (Ephesians 2:2, Acts 26:18, 1John 5:19, John 8:44, 10:10).

  • (Vs 6-13) – Whether we were demon possessed, or just demonically influenced before encountering Christ, what is the secret we learned to making the enemy flee from our lives? NOTE THE VERSES (James 4:7-8, Acts 26:18, 1John 4:4).

  • In what ways can you relate to this demonic man’s encounter with Christ? When did you, if you have, run to Jesus to worship Him as Lord the first time? If you haven’t when do you plan on doing so?

  • (Vs 14-20) – In (Vs 15) specifically, we see how this man’s life was transformed because he became a “has been demon possessed” man. This relates to us in three ways. We find peace to “sit”(Eph 2:6, Hebrews 4:10, Matthew 11:28-30, Psalm 127). Instead of shamefully naked in sin, we are clothed in His righteousness (Isiah 61:10). We are given a “right mind” or a sound mind instead of fear, anxiety, and paranoia (2Tim 1:7). Since this is true of every believer, how have these truths been true experientially in your walk with Christ in comparison to pre-Christ?

  • Verses 19 & 20 are an encouragement and challenge to all of us. To, “Go home to your friends (and family, people) and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you. . .”  The Great Commission starts at our Jerusalem (Acts 1:8); our home. Who in your circle of family and friends do you sense a leading to share what Christ has done for you?  Pray for this, and ask for accountability from the group to do so.

  • MEMORY VERSE: (Mark 5:19)

FELLOWSHIP
  • SENDING/ SERVICE – (Acts 1:8)

  • What ministries have you been participating in this week, and what ways do you as an individual or a group want to pray about participating in in the weeks to come?

PRAYER – (1 Peter 5:7, Gal 6:2)
  • In what ways has God answered your prayer requests from your last Acts 2:42 meeting?

  • Share your prayer requests with one another, and write them down. Pray for one another and bear each other’s burdens to the Lord.
