  • (Vs 25) – Have you recently had the Lord use prophecy, or the word spoken prophetically in your life to reveal the secrets of your heart? If you are willing, share what it was and how you responded?

  • (Vs 26) – What is the difference between personal worship and corpoarate worship as far as the goal? “Let all things be done for edification”. (Consider Phil 2:3-4). How do you personally practice this differentiation?

  • (Vs 27-28) – Looking at the rules for tongues, w/limitations, take turns, w/ interpretation in corporate (w/ self-control) & personal use, which of these maybe challenged a previous belief or experience you have had? How do you plan on practicing this in the future?

  • (Vs 29-33) – Looking at the rules for prophecy; limit, discern, take turns, subservient to OT prophets, and Scripture, which of these rules challenges your previous beliefes or practices that you have experienced? How do you plan on practicing this in the future?

  • (Vs 34-36) – If you are wife, how are you at encouraging your husband to be the spiritual leader in your home by submitting and asking him spiritual questions? If a husband, how are you at leading your family in the Word of God by washing them in the water of the Word (Eph 5:26). If you (husband or wife) are not, what is hindering you and how do you plan on changing this?

  • (Vs 37-40) – Are there any areas in which what Paul teaches as God’s Word “the commandments of the Lord” that challenges your current convictions about the work of the Holy Spirit in corporate worship? How can you best aline yourself with the practice of God’s Word?
