APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE(WORD)
- THROUGH THE BIBLE READING
- Do you have any thoughts/questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?
- APPLICATION QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES
- Discuss the main point of our lesson today and how it can apply to our lives and church. “Without the presence of Jesus nothing matters, with the presence of Jesus nothing else matters”.
- (Vs 4) If we fail to be motivated by the love of Jesus for us (2Corinthians 5:14), what are some other reasons we may continue on through the motions until we burn out? What are some reasons you have kept going through the motions without the acknowledgment of Jesus and His presence?
- (Vs 5) “Remember”. Discuss and share with the group what it was like when you first encountered the love of Jesus in your life for the first time. How did it reflect an engaged couple? Take some time to share some quick testimonies of how and where Jesus saved you?
- (Vs 5) We can all be running around like a chicken with its head cut off. We can have lots of motion while the life is draining from us. Be honest, if you are willing, are you in danger of burning out as illustrated by the lampstand removed from the presence of Jesus who fills it with the oil of His Holy Spirit?
- From 1 to 10 evaluate how you think Jesus feels as a bridegroom in the midst of His church at Horizon? How do you think He feels about your affection towards Him personally as illustrated by the husband coming home to his wife in the sermon?
- (Vs 7) Discuss the truth that God created us for fellowship with Him, originally in the garden (Gen 2-3) and then forever in paradise in heaven (Revelation 21-22).
- MEMORY VERSE: (Revelation 2:4)
