  • Do you have any thoughts questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?

  • APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES:
  • (Vs 22-24) – In these verses we realized that it was Jesus that actually directed or allowed His disciples to go directly into a storm. What kind of storms has God allowed into your life lately, and have you accepted the fact that they are directed by Him?

  • (Vs 24) – Describe how there are similarities to your storms (trials) and the storm the disciples were in. They were too far from any solid land to save themselves, they were tossed around by the waves, and whenever one wave left, they were hit with another, and the wind was contrary to them, everything was against them.
  • (Vs 25-27) – It was in the midst of the storm that Jesus revealed Himself to the disciples.  How has Jesus been revealed to you in the midst of storms in life?

  • (Vs 28-29) – In these verses we see Peter take a step of faith to trust Jesus for the impossible. In the real world, the ship of this world and life is sinking. In what sinking boat have you been trusting in instead of Jesus? How does this show us what it is like to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7)?

  • (Vs 30-33) – In these verses we see Peter’s faith falter as he begins to go down. Have you found yourself sinking because you are walking by sight again rather than looking to Jesus? Explain how this has affected you daily walk with Jesus?
