APOSTLES DOCTRINE(WORD)
  • THROUGH THE BIBLE READING
  • Do you have any thoughts questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?

  • APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES:
  • If you are aware of the situation. . . what was your first reaction to the assassination of Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10th?

  • Discuss the statement, “My belief in the power of the gospe l(Rom 1:16) should affect avery aspect of my life outside of the church building, including my civil life (Romans 13)”.

  • What does it look like to not put our tust in polotitians (Psalm 146:3), yet allow our gospel-centered morals to make us godly citizens?

  • In (Vs 23), we talked about the necessary response of drawing together in unified fellowship. How important is fellowship to you, and how much more important will it be now? Why is it important to you?

  • In (Vs 24), we saw that they responded with prayer. What are some other options of people we could have communicated to, and ways we could have expressed ourself, instead of going to prayer? What is the result when you go to others instead of going to prayer? Read (1Peter 5:7, Phil 4:6-7).

  • In (Vs 24b-28), we came to the realization that when its all said and done, “God is God”.  What does it look like for you to accept the fact that God is God, and God is in control, though the enemy would like us to believe otherwise? What does (Proverbs 3:5-6) look like for you?

  • In (Vs 29-31), we see that they prayed that they might “live and love boldly”. What are other temptations you have had when threatened or persecuted for your faith. What is the proper response as we follow the disciples example? Read and discuss how you can apply (Romans 12:21 and 2 Timothy 1:7) in your sphere of influence.

  • Discuss the statement, “Do not pray for easy lives, pray to be stronger men and women.  Do not pray for the tasks equal to your power, pray for power equal to your task.” How can you apply this to your life today?

  • This brings us to the reality and promise that we all have an appointment with death (Hebrews 9:27). Are you ready to leave this world and meet Jesus?

  • MEMORY VERSE: (Acts 4:31)
