Titus 2/Acts 2:42 - June 24

TITUS 2 / ACTS 2:42 QUESTIONS

“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” as explained in (Acts 2:46) “And continuing daily with one accord in the temple (corporate Sunday/Wednesday gatherings at HCF), and breaking bread from house to house (Acts 2:42/ Titus 2 discipleship), they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.” Resulting in (Acts 2:47) “. . . and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
To be used in one-on-one(Titus 2), group, or family settings(Acts 2:46).  We encourage the enjoyment of a meal or refreshments together (breaking of bread), spiritual conversation (fellowship), time discussing how the Word applies to our lives, and time of praying together during these simple gatherings.
Simply do life as believers should, and invite others to join you in The Great Commission of WIN-DISCIPLE-SEND.

  1. In (Vs 1-4) we saw the real “need for a Miracle”.  How would you describe your current relationship with Jesus, relationship to the world, or even your spouse?  Have you “run out of wine”, become bland, boring, and joyless in your Christian life?  Explain.

  1.  In (Vs 5-8) we saw the 6 examples of how these men “experienced the miracle working Jesus”.   As you evaluate these examples, where might you be missing it?  How do you plan on implementing this in your Christian life this week?  Be specific.
  1. (Vs 5) – Serve Jesus and others
  2. (Vs 5b) – Obey His Word
  3. (Vs 6) – be resourceful
  4. (Vs 7a) – Lean not on your own understanding
  5. (Vs 7b) – go all out
  6. (Vs 8) – Take a Risk/ Step of faith

  1.  In (Vs 9-12) we saw the “Results of experiencing Jesus as the Miracle worker”.  There was a personal encounter between the servants and Him.  There was a party that never ends.  An ever increasing Joy of the Lord from Heaven's wine.  As glory revealed and faith in Jesus.  In What ways have you experienced Jesus as the miracle worker without your own life this week?  Share and testify.  Praise God for this together.

  1. Throughout this whole story we see a miracle of Joy.  Wine representing the joy of the Lord in the Scriptures (Psalm 104:15, Judges 9:13).  Is your walk with Jesus one of ever increasing Joy in spite of circumstances or one that is constantly running out when things get hard?  Where can you find true joy instead of in circumstances this week (Gal 5:22?) and how might this change your week ahead?

  • MEMORY VERSE: (John 2:5) -  “His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

  • Fellowship/ Breaking bread
    • Are you suffering?  Do you have any praise to be cheerful about? Do you have any sickness to pray for healing?  Do you have any sin to confess? (1 John 1:3-10, James 5:13-16).

  • Prayer – (1 Peter 5:7, Gal 6:2)
    • Any answered prayer from the last Titus 2/Acts 2:42 meeting?
    • Bear one another’s burdens and pray for one another (write them down).

SEND a person in Jesus – (Acts 1:8)
