APOSTLES DOCTRINE(WORD)
  • THROUGH THE BIBLE READING
  • Do you have any thoughts questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?

  • APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES:

  • What was the prayer of Jesus in (John 17:21) for His believers? What implications does this have on the fact that the physical body, and the church Body are a compound unity; one Body, many members?

  • (Vs 12-14) Have you ever thought of the task of the Great Commission (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8) as overwhelming? How does it help to realize that it takes the whole Body to fulfill this great calling?

  • What part do you see yourself playing in the Great Commission. Reference the gifts cheet sheet?

  • (vs 15-20) Have you ever found yourself belieing the cancerous lie of “you don’t need me” in the Body of Christ? What was or is the result of believing this lie in your life?  How have you, or will you seek to correct this?

  • (vs 21-24) Have you ever found yourself believing the cancerous lie of “I don’t need you” in a lone ranger, or isolation type of mentality? What was the result of this, and how do you plan on correcting this?

  • (vs 25-27) Since we are all one Body, it is logical that we would care and compensate when others are down? In what ways have you seen others compensate for you when you were down(suffering) in order that you might heal? In what ways have you compensated so others can be restored and the Body healthy again?

  • (vs 25-27) Since we are all one Body, it would make sense that we would rejoice, and desire the victory of our fellow body parts in the same Body.  What happens when body parts start competing against each other, or think also of teammates that would compete against each other? Are you truly happy to see your fellow body parts used of the Lord and exalted as such? Compare this attitude with the mind of Christ (Phil 2:3-4), and how does this apply?

  • (vs 28-31) When you are desiring the best gifts, do you generally say this would be the best gift for “me”, or this would be the best gift for “us” to reflect Jesus corporately to the world? Explain the difference and how it might work out in your life?
