Dec 21, Acts 2:42 Questions
ACTS 2:42 QUESTIONS
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of
bread, and in prayers.” as explained in (Acts 2:46) “And continuing daily with one accord in
the temple (corporate Sunday/Wednesday gatherings at HCF), and breaking bread from
house to house (Acts 2:42 home fellowships), they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.” Resulting in (Acts 2:47) “. . . and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
To be used in one-on-one, group, or family settings. We encourage the enjoyment of a meal or refreshments together (breaking of bread), spiritual conversation (fellowship), time discussing how the Word applies to our lives, and time of praying together during these simple gatherings.
Simply do life as believers should, and invite others to join you.

APOSTLES DOCTRINE (WORD)
o THROUGH THE BIBLE READING
1. Do you have any thoughts questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?
o APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES:
1. In (Vs 12-13) – we learned that even in the great apostle Paul’s life there were
“challenges” to being fragrant for Christ. Paul had a concern that wouldn’t allow him to
shake the one thing and what he could imagine was going wrong in Corinth with Titus.
Have you ever, or do you currently have concerns that are just overwhelming you, and
keeping you from being a “smelly Christian” for Jesus? Share you concerns and take
them to prayer with the group (Phil 4:6-7, 1Peter 5:7).
2. In (Vs 14-16) – Paul moves his “confidence” to the Lord, and is reminded that we are
“always” and in “everyplace” triumphant in Christ. Is there a time of day, or a location
that you find it particularly difficult to be a good, fragrant witness for Christ? Share, and
discuss the truth that in all of those situations you are walking as a victor in Christ.
3. In (Vs 14-16) we talked about how we can be more fragrant with the savor of Christ.
Simply by being with Him as in (Acts 4:13). What does your daily devotional time look
like with Jesus, in what ways could this grow, and even throughout your day?
4. In (Vs 15-16) we talked about what it would look like to be fragrant like Jesus. Discuss
the traits and characteristics of Christ you would like to see emanating from your life?
Share a memory you have that is brought up every time you smell something, and
discuss how important it is that we are giving off the “good fragrance” of Christ.
5. In (Vs 17) we discussed how important it is that the fragrance stays “pure”. Paul said he
is not diluting it, by diluting the word towards selfish gain, and he is doing so pure in the sight of God. What kinds of things could dilute or harm the fragrance of Christ in our lives. Share and pray for one another.
o MEMORY VERSE: (2Corinthians 2:14)
FELLOWSHIP
o SENDING/ SERVICE – (Acts 1:8)
1. What ministries have you been participating in this week, and what ways do you as an
individual or a group want to pray about participating in in the weeks to come?
PRAYER – (1 Peter 5:7, Gal 6:2)
1. In what ways has God answered your prayer requests from your last Acts 2:42 meeting?
2. Share your prayer requests with one another, and write them down.
Pray for one another and bear each other’s burdens to the Lord.
