November 30, Acts 2:42 Questions

Bible study dates: 11-30-25
Bible study Themes: “A Few Benefits of Suffering In Christ” – (2 Corinthians 1:3-11)
APOSTLES DOCTRINE (WORD)
o   THROUGH THE BIBLE READING
1.      Do you have any thoughts questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?

o   APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES:
1)      Are you currently going through any trials and suffering that you would like to share so you can pray for one another and bear each others burdens (Gal 6:2)?

2)      In verses 3-4a, we saw that one of the first benefits to suffering is that we get to experience God’s comfort in ways we would not otherwise. Share how in your current trial, or in trials you have experienced in the past, God has comforted you.

3)      In verses 4b-7, we saw that one of the blessings in suffering is that we then become a blessing to others going through trials? Share how someone has comforted you by sharing God’s comfort for them, or how God has used you to encourage another who is suffering by your own testimony of God’s comfort?

4)      When you are in a trial, do you tend to look inward and get bummed out, or do you look for ways you can be a blessing to others in the trial. Consider Phil 2:3-5, and discuss how you can look to be a blessing to others in your trials.

5)      In verses 8-9, we saw that one of the benefits to suffering as a child of God is that it causes us to let go of trusting in ourselves, in order that we might place all of our trust in God. Share a trial you have been in, or are in, where God has allowed all of your resources to be brought to nothing? How did you respond?

6)      In verses 10-11, we saw that the benefit of suffering in Christ is the promise of deliverance. We are reminded that our past spiritual deliverance is an encouragement that God will yet deliver us. Share a way in the past that God has delivered you through and out of a trial? How does this encourage you for the future?
