  • THROUGH THE BIBLE READING
  • Do you have any thoughts questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?

  • APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES:
  • Apparenty, eating together, fellowshipping together, and taking the Lord’s supper together was so significant to the early church. How significant is this kind of family fellowship in your walk, how do you practice this as it was in Corinth and in Acts 2:42, 45?

  • In verses 17-22, we see that there was disorder of Disctritive services, divisions, selfishness, and even fleshliness. Have you seen these kinds of issues within the church as a whole. In what way and how do you believe it could be avoided?

  • In verses 23-26 we saw the Lord’s order for the communion table. We talked about the importance of the memorial and how it should be an affectionate “remembering” of the Lord’s body and blood. Have you ever had something that when you tasted it, smelled it, heard it, etc. brought back an affectionate memory. How does the Lord’s table to this for you. Maybe think about the sights, smells, sounds, etc. on the day you discovered what Jesus had done for you. Discuss with the group.

  • In verses 27-34, we see Paul trying to re-order the Corinthians table to be pleasing to the Lord. We saw that there was a process of letting the Lord examine our hearts and lives, or we would quite possibly experience the Lord’s chastening because He loves us (Vs 32).  Has the Lord been dealing with you on a particular attitude or action toward Him lately?  Take some communion elements with your group, and bring those issues before the Lord with confession, an intent to repent, and a plan to walk in victory. Give thanks and rejoice together.
