ACTS 2:42 QUESTIONS
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” as explained in (Acts 2:46) “And continuing daily with one accord in the temple (corporate Sunday/Wednesday gatherings at HCF), and breaking bread from house to house (Acts 2:42 home fellowships), they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.” Resulting in (Acts 2:47) “. . . and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
To be used in one-on-one, group, or family settings. We encourage the enjoyment of a meal or refreshments together (breaking of bread), spiritual conversation (fellowship), time discussing how the Word applies to our lives, and time of praying together during these simple gatherings. Simply do life as believers should, and invite others to join you.

APOSTLES DOCTRINE(WORD)
- THROUGH THE BIBLE READING
- Do you have any thoughts or questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?
- APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES:
- In (Vs 12-15) we looked at the “motivation of the heart”. What are some false, external motives that you have had, or experienced in your Christian life. Or maybe a lack of motivation?
- In (Vs 14) Paul shares what so radically arrested and compelled his life. It was that Paul knew “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so”. Discuss the statement made on Sunday, “Why we don’t do the things we are supposed to, or the reason we do the things we are not supposed to do is because we do not know just how much Jesus loves us”. Discuss in light of (1 John 4:19 and Luke 7:47).
- In (Vs 16-17) Paul tells us that we no longer regard anyone according to the flesh because in (Vs 17) we have been spiritually given a whole new Identity in Christ. What are some old Identities of the flesh, “good” or “bad” that you need shed today in light of this wonderful truth?
- In (Vs 18-21) we discussed the “goal from the heart” of God, and the apostle Paul. God’s great goal is the “reconciliation of man to God” through the gospel of Christ. Discuss the statement “The reason God did it all was not because he “needed” us, but because He “wanted” a love relationship with us” in light of (Luke 15) and the three parables.
- Overall, would you say, like God you are someone that views things according to the heart, or by appearance? Discuss (1 Sam 16:7) and how this affects the way we view ourselves and other believers in light of these three heart issues, “The motive of the heart” being the Love of Christ for me(12-15), “The Identity in the heart” being a new Creation in Christ(16-17) and “The goal from the heart” being the reconciliation of man to God(18-21).
- MEMORY VERSE: (2Corinthians 5:14)
FELLOWSHIP
- SENDING/ SERVICE – (Acts 1:8)
- What ministries have you been participating in this week, and what ways do you as an individual or a group want to pray about participating in in the weeks to come?
PRAYER – (1 Peter 5:7, Gal 6:2)
- In what ways has God answered your prayer requests from your last Acts 2:42 meeting?
- Share your prayer requests with one another, and write them down. Pray for one another and bear each other’s burdens to the Lord.
