Jan 4, Acts 2:42 Questions

ACTS 2:42 QUESTIONS
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” as explained in (Acts 2:46) “And continuing daily with one accord in the temple (corporate Sunday/Wednesday gatherings at HCF), and breaking bread from house to house (Acts 2:42 home fellowships), they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.” Resulting in (Acts 2:47) “. . . and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

To be used in one-on-one, group, or family settings. We encourage the enjoyment of a meal or refreshments together (breaking of bread), spiritual conversation (fellowship), time discussing how the Word applies to our lives, and time of praying together during these simple gatherings.

Simply do life as believers should, and invite others to join you.

Bible study dates: Jan 4, 2026
Bible study Themes: Ministry of the Spirit
APOSTLES DOCTRINE(WORD)
o THROUGH THE BIBLE READING
1. Do you have any thoughts questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?

o APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES:

1) In (Vs 1-3) we talked about how the “ministry of the spirit” transforms the “heart”. We see this in Corinth. Look at (Hebrews 8:10, and 1Corinthians 6:9-11) and discuss how the Lord rewrote His story on the hearts of the Corinthians believers. In what ways can your life be an epistle, showing the power of the Gospel to the world around you. Be specific. Who is reading your testimony through your life?

2) In (Vs 4-6) we talked about how the ministry of the Spirit is “dependent on the Spirit”. In what ways do you see yourself tempted to think you have to be “sufficient” for the Lords work in and through your life? In What ways are you tempted to live under the letter the that kills(what you do for God) rather than the Spirit(what God does through man)?
a. Is your life, ministry, home, one that represents the letter(exterior rules and regulations) or the Spirit(a love relationship that transforms the heart)? Explain, and explain how you plan on being more grace oriented as we discussed on Sunday.

3) In (Vs 7-18) we saw that the new covenant of the Spirit is “better” that the letter of the law. If you were to describe your ability to “shine” with the glory of God, would it be external(dependent on circumstances) or internal(dependent on your relationship with the Lord). Explain?

4) In (Vs 18) we discussed the most simple truth about how as believers we can become more like Jesus. It really is as simple as beholding Jesus in His word by the Holy Spirit, and He will transform our lives. Discuss all the other way’s we as believers can be tempted to be transformed in the flesh. How do you practically plan on beholding Jesus in His word, and in what ways has beholding Jesus in His Word already transformed your life in ways that are evident, and to His glory?

o MEMORY VERSE: (2Corinthians 3:18)
