Titus 2/Acts 2:42 - June 21
TITUS 2 / ACTS 2:42 QUESTIONS
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” as explained in (Acts 2:46) “And continuing daily with one accord in the temple (corporate Sunday/Wednesday gatherings at HCF), and breaking bread from house to house (Acts 2:42/ Titus 2 discipleship), they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.” Resulting in (Acts 2:47) “. . . and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
To be used in one-on-one(Titus 2), group, or family settings(Acts 2:46). We encourage the enjoyment of a meal or refreshments together (breaking of bread), spiritual conversation (fellowship), time discussing how the Word applies to our lives, and time of praying together during these simple gatherings.
Simply do life as believers should, and invite others to join you in The Great Commission of
WIN-DISCIPLE-SEND.

Bible study Themes: (John 2:13-25) “Knowing Jesus as the Temple Keeper/Revolutionary”
Bible study Themes: (John 2:13-25) “Knowing Jesus as the Temple Keeper/Revolutionary”
WIN a person to Jesus – (Mark 16:15)
- Have you had the privilege to share and show the gospel to anyone recently? Explain.
DISCIPLE a person in Jesus – (Matthew 28:19-20) (Acts 2:42)
Apostles Doctrine (Word)
- THROUGH THE BIBLE READING - Do you have any thoughts or questions on your “Through the Bible” reading plan?
- APPLICATIONS QUESTIONS FROM BIBLE STUDIES: (or New believers study, Marriage study, Addictions study, or other approved material)
- In (Vs 13-15) we see Jesus “Clean House”. What comparable issues happening today that Jesus would “find” in the church temple, your own heart, or life that Jesus would feel grieved and indignant about as He was when He showed up to the temple during Passover? Explain.
- In (Vs 16-17) we see that the “motive” for this cleansing of the temple was Jesus’ “zeal” for the Fathers house. He was looking for 5 things that were supposed to be happening and weren’t. Do you see any of these things lacking in your “temple” that is the church (1 Tim 3:15, Eph 2:20-21), or your own life (1 Cor 6:18-19)?
- Made it about themselves rather than God.
- Made it about the motions rather than the Relationship (Mt 11:17)
- Made it about their made up rules rather than His Rules (The Word of God).
- Made it about their pleasure rather than God’s (Rev 4:11).
- Made it about their group rather than lost souls. (Mt 11:7).
- In (Vs 18-25) we see the 2 reasons Jesus gave for “His authority” to do such a thing as cleansing the temple. He speaks of His omnipotence in the gospel, and His omniscience in knowing the heart of man. Have you given Jesus the right to cleanse the temple of your church, home or personal life? Have you prayed (Psalm 139:23-24) why or why not?
- In Application, in what ways do you see that the church can be more focused on God and His mission? (Win- Disciple – Send) and the simple practice of (Acts 2:42, 46)? How do you plan to be a part of implementing this?
- In Application, In what ways do you see Jesus bringing cleansing into your own life that may have gotten distracted from what or Who it is all about? Read (1 Cor 6:19-20, Hebrews 12:1-2, Romans 12:1-2). How do you plan to walk this out?
- In Application, in what ways do you see a need to have Jesus do a work of cleansing in your own home? How do you plan on leading this by example in your home? Read (Joshua 24:15) and discuss.
- MEMORY VERSE: (John 2:16)
- Fellowship/ Breaking bread
- Are you suffering?
- Do you have any praise to be cheerful about?
- Do you have any sickness to pray for healing?
- Do you have any sin to confess? (1 John 1:3-10, James 5:13-16).
- Prayer – (1 Peter 5:7, Gal 6:2)
- Any answered prayer from the last Titus 2/Acts 2:42 meeting?
- Bear one another’s burdens and pray for one another (write them down).
Send a person for Jesus – (Acts 1:8)
- What good works (service in the body of Christ) do you see God preparing you to walk in or have you walked in recently (Ephesians 2:10)? Share and pray about it.
- Do you see the Lord opening a door for you to share the gospel this week (Revelation 3:8)? Share and pray about it.
